After complaining about my corporate Cup performances on the blog a month or two ago, I surprised myself by doing an equal PB yesterday. I did pain in the domain on Tuesday, so I was expecting the legs to be heavy and slow. They were heavy but evidently they were not as slow as expected.
The first 2k felt slow and hard and when I had to stop to tie my shoelace, I gave up on a good time. After going through 4k in a surprising 16:00, I gave it everything and equaled my PB of 24:05 which was set 11 months ago. Can't complain about that. Having fresh legs and shoelaces that work next time should result in the illustrious fast point time of 23:45.
Edit: realised my previous PB was 24:10 - so it was in fact a PB!
