Monday - 10k including 5k at threshold (20:09)
Tuesday - 10k easy
Wednesday - 8k including corporate cup in 24:25 which was a bit slower than I had hoped. Legs felt a liitle heavy and it was hot
Thursday - 8k easy - legs (and body) felt tired - not sleeping enough (der!)
Friday - 9k easy with Simon
saturday - 10k stroller loop to Shelley - beauitiful day
Sunday - SMC Half Marathon in 88:04 - was struggling the whole way actually, but very happy to finish up with this time. Went out a little easy with Rod and pushed forward at the 8k mark. Did the first 10k in 42:15, so did a sizeable negative split.
Weekly total 76k
At the same time/event last year I did 88:18, so a little faster and then I went on to do 85:11 at SMH. I had a realisation that GCM is 4 weeks earlier than Cities was last year. I am probably a little behind where I was last year and will need to put in some consistent training for Gold Coast (which is only 11 weeks away) if I am to have a realistic chance at sub 3.
