You've got to want, you've got to need. But most of all, you've got to put in the hours.

I liked this quote from Ewan. Its pretty cool. Anyway...

Mon
: 14k in 1:19 (5:28) Home to Chatswood. Up through Manly Dam, Across Roseville Bridge. Some big hills and legs were tired.
Tues: 8k in 41:25 (5:23) Around the city. Just a recovery run. Legs tired.
Wed: Corporate Cup in 23:45 and a fast point! Very happy to get a fast point in hot conditions. Splits were: 3:47, 3:58 (7:45), 4:13 (11:59), 3:45 (15:44), 4:19 (20:03) and 3:43 (23:47). Went out at a good clip and faded in the last 2k, but had a go I guess. Last straight done in a slow 53 secs.
Thur: 10k in 48:24 (5:03) Anzac Bridge loop. Feeling good.
Fri: 14k in 1:08 (4:51) Wooloomooloo and back. Fastest I have ever done this one and comfortable as well.
Sat: 10k with a 5k Threshold in 21:41 (4:07) NB CR 5k Challenge. Really tired legs on the warm up, but they came good and was nearly right on the desired 4:08 pace which felt pretty good.
Sun: 29k in 2:23 (4:59) 3 laps to Shelley Beach and back as I didn't want to be too far away from Mrs Hamburglar who is due tomorrow. Warmed into this one. Legs were very tired and I didn't feel like going back for two more laps, but I felt better as the run went along. The 4.8k splits to Shelley were done in 24:33, 23:34, 24:04, 23:28, 24:13, 23:22. The outward journey was into a strong headwind which can be seen in the splits.

A total of 93k and another week of perfect training for me i.e. big k's with a speed session (race), threshold session and a long run. After a pretty big block post sixfoot, I am stuffed. The legs feel tired yet strong at the same time. A planned easier week this week which hopefully will see a brand new burger in the Hamburglar family. Fingers crossed.

Best wishes to you & Mrs H for this week!

That's a solid week of training Chris. I just noticed that you haven't recorded your average HR for these runs & instead are recording pace. Are you no longer basing your training around HR?

All the best Chris, best wishes.
Nice training, any particular races in mind?

Too right, all the way!

Sorry 6' didn't go as planned - looks like you're well on the road to redemption. Keep it up!
