Getting the fitness back.

If I got my running legs back last week, this week I got my fitness back. Most runs were done in much cooler temperatures than it has been lately which made things much more comfortable. The exception to this was Wednesday's bay run with IHS - it was a scorcher. The returned fitness was confirmed with Friday's 14k which was done in a record time at an easy HR. All good signs.

This morning was my local STAR and therefore it was an early start as Paul and I ran the 6k to Dee Why to meet the group. As Paul was joining IHS and myself, I planned a slower run, joining up with the 6am group. My Nathan camelbak arrived from the US recently, so it was an opportunity to test it out - and it was great. Very comfortable and hardly any up and down movement - thanks Sub 50 for the tip! So no breakfast and no gels along the way was the plan. An easy long run, with a few big hills, but with some good company, saw the 29k finished before I knew it and back home before 8:30am. 96k for the week. Pretty much my biggest ever week.

Mon - 10k in 51:26 @ 5:12 (142) - Anzac Bridge
Tues - 10k in 48:14 @ 4:49 (152) - Mrs Macquarie's Chair
Wed - 16k in 87:31 @ 5:24 (154) - The Bay Run
Thur - 10k in 48:04 @ 4:48 (153) - Mrs Maquarie's Chair
Fri - 14k in 68:48 @ 4:54 (152) - Wooloomooloo
Sat - 7k in 36:39 @ 5:03 (156) - The Corso
Sun - 29k in 3:04 @ 6:19 (141) - Dee Why STAR

Total: 96k + 60k cycling for 11:30hours.

An easier week is planned for next week with either a long ride or a fat ass run in the mountains on Aus day.

Good to see you getting the running legs back. 96k is up there, as is the 29k today.

Another great week Chris. Are you still riding to work?

So when do we get the 'history of HB'?
