He got me invested in some kinda fruit company.

OK Miners - let the movie quotes begin!

Meanwhile I have done 8 sessions in 3 days. It sounds a lot however it included two days of commute on the bike (15k each way).

Tues - easy 8k in 38:49 @ 4:51 (156) and 1.7k in the pool. The total immersion book that I have started to read is fantastic. I was really concentrating on technique with lots of rest breaks so I could keep concentrating. Was going to do 2k but the pool closed and I got kicked out.

Wed - Communted to and from work. Lunch was corporate cup where I did 24:25. Splits were:
3:43, 3:58, 4:27, 3:50, 4:26 and 3:57. Definitely some built up fatigue in the legs. The cycling muscles seem to jiggle around the place when running hard - quite disconcerting. Couldn't seem to get the HR up - maybe I am soft, but it seemed like I was pushing as hard as I could. Not the sub 24 I was hopeing for but not too disappointed.

Today - commute to and from work with a 2k swim this evening. Couldn't find the speedos, so the boardies made things a bit hard. 4 x 500m in apx 11:45 each with 45 sec recovery. Really happy with the technique stuff - something to concentrate on and I feel like I am slowly improving. Will post about this in more detail later.

Feel like I am training like a proper triathlete!!!

P.S. golf on monday was enjoyable but I had a shocker. Couldn't hit an iron to save my life. Castle Hill is a wonderful course and a few beers afterwards was just what was required - it was a rest day after all!

The good thing about a three iron is you can hold it over your head in a lightning storm - not even God can hit a three iron *tish-boom*

Nice work on the 8 sessions - I reckon multiple sessions in quick succession does wonders for your powers of recovery.

Glad to hear that life as a triathlete is treating you well!

The total immersion book is great. R has the DVD which I've had a quick look at but need to sit down & watch it in full this weekend.

But how did the golf brick session go?

Not being able to get the HR up is just a sign of tiredness or not being recovered from the previous session.

Miners will tell you I'm bloody hopeless at movie quotes.
