After a couple of days off, I went out for one last run this arvo. 7k in about 40 mins. Not a great run to be honest. Was going fairly slow and just labouring through it which wasn't much fun. It was good to get home and have a nap. Not feeling 100% right now. Not sure if it is just tiredness or what.
Further to my disappointment about staying at Caves house, we realised that the place we booked was only one room. I was led to believe it was an apartment style place. Not really approapriate for a few adults and a 9 month baby. We deceided to bite the bullet and find somewhere else to stay. We found a nice little place up the road from Jenolan - Glenroy Cottages. Not really in the middle of the "vibe" but it will at least give me a good night sleep. It was also good in the fact that I was able to transfer the Caves house room to another CR, so we aren't losing that much money.
Looking forward to the run whilst being a touch nervous. Whilst I have no idea about what time I will be able to do, the target of 5 hours seems as good as any to aim for. If I don't get it, who cares but it is worth a crack. The planned (i.e. pull out of my backside) splits are:
Megalong Rd: 0:45
Cox's: 0:45 (1:30)
Pluviometer 1:30 (3:00)
Deviation 1:00 (4:00)
Caves House 1:00 (5:00)
I have made these splits round so I can remember, however it would be nice to get to Deviation a liitle earlier than 4 hours to allow me a shot a 5 hours.

Not a bad stab at the splits. My only comment is that if you run an even pace once you hit the road at the base of the stairs then your split to Meg Rd will be a longer than your split from Meg Rd to Coxs.
All the best for Saturday mate ;-0
Um I meant :-)
Thanks 2P, handy to know.
Cheers!
Splits look honest to me, 3hrs to Pluvio gives you a crack at sub 5, aim a tad faster though.
All the best Chris, have a great run mate.
