This week continued the long awaited arrival of Juniorburger. He finally arrived at 5:59pm on Thurday 30th April. The labour had its ups and downs but ended up with a great result. Mother and baby are doing really well. Just like many things in life, the 2nd time is much better as you seem to be even be able to enjoy the process.
Mon: 8k around the city in 37:20 @ 4:43
Tues: 8 x Argyle St Hill Reps with inhisshadow. Good to get some SMH specific training. the rep is from the bottom of the hill to the start of the bus turning circle which is 400m. Splits were:
1:33, 1:33, 1:35, 1:34, 1:33, 1:33, 1:35, 1:31 which is about 3:50-3:55 pace. Recoveries were betwen 2:10 and 2:30 - good session.
Wed: 10k to Shelley Beach in 45:47 @ 4:47
Thur: Birth of 2nd Child
Fri: A sluggish 10k in 47:00 @ 4:54. Understandably felt crap.
Sat: 10k race at Homebush with pram in 43:28 @ 4:16. I didn't really know how I would go in my first race with a pram. I was hoping for something around 47-48 mins so was very pleased. Hardest challenge was keeping Cheeseburger entertained which is difficult when running flat out.
Sun: Rest. Well maybe not rest, but no running. Exhausted.
Total: 47k with two faster sessions. No long run but hopefully will catch up on that in next couple of days. Let the madness begin!
Photo care of Ellie80 - thanks Ellie!

Love it, Thurs - Birth of second child, Fri - 10k. Nice time yesterday mate.
Like I said on Saturday - Congratulations to both of you (and to you for a pretty sharp pram time. Was the juniorburger getting out and pushing occasionally?) :-)
Gnome
Congrats on the bub and not too shabby a time for the 10k either!
Congrats mate!
See you soon!
Well done! I like how you have 'Birth of 2nd Child' in the training diary. Good way to remember the date ;)
Solid run in the SMC and handy pram 10k too.
