After the limping due to sore muscles subsided, I have developed extremely sore feet and started limping again. The pain is on my heels, just where I land on each foot. It is like I have been hit by a hammer on the underside of my heels. Interesting that it came on 2 days post race. I have no idea what has caused it. My shoes are old (probably >1000k's) however I have never had any problems with old shoes before. They were also very wet when I put them on as they were sitting in transition all morning in the rain. *shrug*
I have thought about doing some cycling or swimming this week, and I probably should to aid recovery, but I have not. I have, however decided to keep eating and drinking for my country and I am only now beginning to feel full.
Anyway, to all readers of hamburglarsrunningblog, I wish you a Merry Xmas and a happy new year. Thanks for all your encouraging words and support throughout 2007.
Cheers!

Bugger Burglar... must be all the effort those feet have to go through carrying your old legs ;-). Hope you recover soon, will need to catch up and hear about all your efforts over a carbo loading drink
Thanks Chris. Have a good one, and all the best for '08. See you at the tree on March 8 :)
