Headed out for a long awaited run on Friday. Very ordinary. Felt aweful. I was planning on 10k but headed home early for just 6k. Not sure what was going on. HR high and legs heavy. Mmmm.
Sat was D-day for Port HIM. I planned a 90/10 brick to evaluate where I was at. Met Paul (who did GC HIM last week) at 6:30am and off we went. Again, felt aweful, HR was high and legs were heavy. Paul was only out for about 2 hours. I was going to let him turn around and keep heading out into the hills, however disappointingly, I just didn't have it in me and I turned around with him. We ran into Richard (who also did GC) and caught up with all the gos.
I actually started to come good in the last 10-15k so I decided to change into the running gear and head out for a run. Actually felt quite good. Well, much better than I thought I would. I ran down to Shelley beacj and back and covered the 10k in just over 55 mins. The HR was a bit high but not too bad. So, what started out badly, turned into not a bad session after all.
Details were 64k in 2:30 @ 25.5 (154) and 1ok in 55:39 @ 5:32 (160).
This afternoon was another ride - 26k in 58:35 @ 26.1. I made an adjustment with my seat height (up about 8 cm) and whilst it feels a little different, I think it may work.

No good burglar, hope you start to bounce back soon.
Shadow..
geez`mate - I hope you'll be right soon.
And what's with this casual mention of an 8cm adjustment to the seat height??? That sounds like a pretty big movement? Hope it works out for you and doesn't cause you any pain or run discomfort.
Otherwise, keep it up cause I want to see you up here. However, if you're thinking of alternatives, I am now booking in the Nepean Tri this year so I might see you there?
Hey Chris,
Hope you can make it to Port! I don't want to be the only newbie out there...
Sorry to hear that things are a bit ordinary at the moment.
So what was the decision on Port Mac? I suspect R's advice to you would be don't underestimate it.
Hope you are back to 100% asap!
