Triathlon here I come!

Had a different week of training this week and am definitely understanding the life of a triathlete. Still trying to make sure the blister heals before C2S on Sunday so only the one run this week.

Swam on Monday and Thursday at Harbord diggers. Surprisingly the swimming fitness is not too bad after not swimming at all this year. 1k on Monday and 1.5k on Thursday. I was doing 250m reps in 6 mins and 1 min rest. Therefore I did the 1.5k in Thursday in 41 mins. Long way from my target time of 38 mins for the 1.9k in November (still very much early days). BTW - Jen, the HIM that I am targetting is Port. I know know the course pretty well and it works well in the calander. It seems a few CR's will be there so should be a bit of fun.

Also finally bit the bullet and rode to work this week. I have been putting it off due to the cold (yeah I know, I am a wuse) and the logistics. The logistics are a hassle but I just need to get a routine. The trip is only 14k and took about 40mins - which is just as fast as what the bus is. 14k isn't really long enough, so I may ride to centenniel park and do a few laps and then come back in to work. Rode in on Thursday and rode home yesterday.

So after tomorrow's City to Surf it will be two runs, two swims and two rides for the week - weird. Not sure how I will go tomorrow with the lack of running in the past 5 weeks (except the marathon). I know inhisshadow is pretty keen to beat me so I will have to keep him in check, but the main goal is to go three seconds better than last year and go sub 60.

Hang on to Horrie and you should comfortably go sub-60.

That was a nice run in the Cities. A 3:10 or better is within reach next time you run one.

May see you tomorrow.
