Long ride

Long ride today (for me anyway). 60k up to Church Point/ West Head and return. The ride is broken up up into 3 x 20k sections 1) to church point 2) into the hills and back to church point 3) home. I have a little nanna rest at church point on the way out and the way back.

The trip to Church Point was assisted by a slight SE tailwind, seeing me arrive in 40 mins averaging 29k/hr. Into the hills saw me struggle as always however getting better each time I go out. I am getting much more confident at the decents (max 43.1km/hr) - averaged 21k/hr for this section. The SE, picked up and turned more southerly (just what I wanted) for the final 20k home. I really struggled averaging 23km/hr.

Total was 60k in 2:30 which was 4 minutes faster than last time I did this ride which was nice considering the headwind. I'm buggered now!

Signing off for a week or two as we are going up to Port Macquarie for a holiday for the next week. Hopefully will get to catch up with miners while I am up there. Good news is that the bike will fit into the car - yay!

I will leave you with a photo of miniburglar showing some mischievous Hamburglar behaviour.
